Coronavirus COVID-19: In line with national guidance the surgery is no longer accepting requests for face-to-face consultation without a prior on the day telephone call with a clinician. Please phone to book a telephone call. 

Minor Injury Units are based at Camborne/ Redruth Hospital.

There are x-ray facilities available at Camborne/Redruth Hospital.  To access the x-ray service you will need to be referred by your doctor who will provide you with a signed x-ray appointment card and advise you to telephone the x-ray department to book an appointment for your x-ray.  Appointments can be booked between 9am to 8pm, Monday to Friday; and noon to 6pm Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays. 

The West Cornwall Urgent Care Centre based at West Cornwall Hospital in Penzance offers a Nurse Led Service  cover 24 hours a day, 7 days a week  and treats the following conditions:

1. Minor Burns, scalds and injuries.

2. Simple fractures (legs, arms, ankles and wrists). 3. Cuts which require stitching.

4. Chest and urinary infections.

5. Minor falls.

Call NHS 111 for non-emergency health advice (click 'Call 111' blue triangle at the bottom of the page) 

or in case of an emergency 999.

Home Visits
Where possible please try to come to the surgery. If you know you are going to need a visit please telephone in the morning. You will be asked to give a short explanation of the problem so that the doctor can be notified and decide how urgent your request is.

To protect you and others, Praze and Connor Downs surgeries are taking the following measures 

  • Temperature screening at the doors for patients attending for appointments or to collect medication from our dispensaries
  • Medication collections from dispensary will be limited by a one person in one person out basis
  • If you are attending to make enquiries you will be turned away and asked to phone
  • To accommodate temperature screening, front door opening times will be restricted as follows:

Connor Downs doors open:

09:00-12:00 only

Praze doors open:

Monday - Friday 14:00 – 17:00 only

  • Please note we will not be able to accommodate your site preference for face-to-face appointments
  • Our telephone lines are open as normal
  • Door opening times are likely to change in the future, so please check our website prazesurgery.co.uk before travelling to our surgeries.
